Michelle John recorded her Gospel Album “God Is“ on 16th April 2024 at The Pool, Miloco
Studios in London.
Michelle’s powerful vocals have always been rooted in Gospel Music. This album is a

tribute to her upbringing and a testament to her faith in God. This full-circle moment occurs
at the church where it all started … Home!
“It’s been a long Nme coming… but the Nme has come to go back to my roots“.
This album is a collection of some original songs and also some of the songs from her childhood:
the songs her grandmother sang, songs from the Caribbean, songs carried over the seas by
Valcina and Arnet—the Windrush generation—songs that have long been forgotten and almost
have been lost. Michelle breathes new life into these songs with a contemporary modern twist!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Whether it was singing as a child in her local Gospel Choir or recording and touring with stars
such as Eric Clapton, Annie Lennox, George Michael, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Mary
J Blige, Tom Jones, and Andrea Bocelli, the diversity of her musical background and the wide
range of artists she has worked with have given Michelle a great vision for her musical destiny.
In 2017 Michelle was a finalist on The Voice UK television series, where she was part of
Will.I.am’s team. Michelle performed weekly before a national audience of more than five
million viewers.
In 2019 she released her Debut single “Priceless,” which brought her solo work to critical
acclaim.
She has performed on stages across the world, including for former President Barack Obama at
The White House and for Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
In 2020 Michelle released her debut album, Diva Songbook: Through the Storm. The album is an
electrifying mix of covers and original songs. With her powerhouse vocals on full display,
Michelle takes us on an emotional journey from power ballads to upbeat vocal performances as
she hits the heights of Aretha Franklin and Mariah Carey.
Following the release of her debut album, Michelle has performed on many dates across the UK,
including at the celebrated Ronnie ScoT’s and Pizza Express jazz clubs in London, Birmingham,
and Maidstone, at the Liverpool Arena, Nottingham Arena, Cardiff Arena, and the O2 Arena, the
Cambridge FesNval, the Royal Albert Hall (as part of The One Young World Summit, a charitable
organization devoted to supporting young leaders around the world) and also performing the
Sia / Hans Zimmer song “Out There” with the NaNonal Symphonic Orchestra at the O2 Arena in
the Seven Worlds, One Planet Show.
Michelle is a renowned vocal coach, having coached several UK pop stars including Rita Ora,
Girls Aloud, MysNque, and Liberty X.
