“Heaven” written by gospel soul singer-songwriter Priscilla Bailey follows the success of the number 1 single “Love Always Wins”, currently nominated for a Stepfwd award for Best RnB Soul song of the year 2023 and her second song to her album due for release in 2024.
A throwback to the sounds of Motown and duets of Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, the dulcet tones of Priscilla Bailey, and the smooth voice of Charles Moorer are a perfect combination on the new release “Heaven”.
In short, “Heaven” is a song about finding hope after loss. Priscilla Bailey wrote the song while trying to process her own grief and find solace in her faith after losing both of her parents to cancer.
Her featured artist Charles Moorer, a US billboard artist whom she met 2 years ago at the International Gospel Music Summit had expressed interest in doing a collaboration on a project with Priscilla. During their conversation, Charles also shared that he had lost his own son, who now is the motivation behind his ministry.
Priscilla says “as I was writing the song I could imagine a male voice singing it and thought Charles would be a perfect fit. Also he knows about losing a loved one”.
“I hope that the song brings comfort to others who are experiencing grief, and helps them to know that God created a place called Heaven, a place without pain and suffering “.
“Heaven” will be out on all digital outlets on Friday 24th November 2023.
